As we reflect on this past year, we stand in awe at the miraculous work of the Lord. Something that was a prayer in the heart of many became a reality. A refuge for abandoned babies is born in the middle of a banana plantation.
“for He is good.”
On a land prepared long ago for future generations, Omwana house was born and we quickly opened the doors for these precious little ones who needed a home.
“His love endures forever.”
From mothers who were without the means or ability to care for their children to those who lost their lives in childbirth, the house was quickly filling up with infants and toddlers in need of love and care.
“let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story.”
Without a washroom, there was quite the challenge at bath time, but with generous donors we were blessed with our very own bathhouse.
We have also been extremely blessed with dedicated nannies and staff who love Jesus and are a blessing to these children. They are pouring truth about their loving Father and nurturing them daily.
“for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
As the family grew we developed a great need for a van for safe transportation.
Once again, our faithful Omwana House supporters stepped up to the plate and gave generously to purchase a van.
“Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of His works with songs of joy.”
We praise the Mighty God who has blessed PCM with this love-filled home as it truly has become a safe haven for babies in Uganda. He has used your prayers and support to birth such a beautiful place. May the blessing be returned.
“Those who are wise will take all this to heart, they will see in our history the faithful love of the LORD.”
Please continue to partner with us and our Ugandan family in prayer as we make plans to expand our territory at Omwana house in order to make room for more of these precious in His sight in need of a loving home and family.
Team 61 is on the ground to spend time at the Omwana house. We will be making plans for expansion, encouraging the nannies, loving on the babies, re-supplying the shelves, painting the bathhouse and taking the babies on a field trip to the park for the first time.
“For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever!” Amen Romans 11:36
